Introduction to Privacy, Security and Trust:
Expertite takes the private nature of your information very seriously and is committed to protecting the privacy of users. This Privacy & Cookie Policy ("Privacy Policy") explains how Expertite ("Expertite," "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares personally identifiable information of registered individuals ("Members"), unregistered individuals ("Visitors") and users ("Organizations") of our recruitment management services, branding services or other services offered as on the date of this document or in the future, when they visit and use www.expertite.com(the "Site") and/or Expertite's other domains, sub-domains, products, advertising products, services, and/or content, including our iOS, Android, and Windows Phone mobile applications as and when available (collectively with the Site, the "services").
We collect professional, personal and non-personal information (as those terms are defined in this policy) and this policy document explains what steps we take to secure your personal information and how you can manage your choices about our collection and use of your personal information. This policy document also covers our treatment of any information about you shared with us by Organizations with us.
Members share their professional identities and details, engage with companies and networks, exchange knowledge and professional insights, post and view relevant content, and find career opportunities. Content on some of our services is also visible to Visitors.
If you are using our recruitment management services or branding services on behalf of a legal entity such as a company or educational institution ("Organization"), you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity and its affiliates to these terms and conditions, in which case the terms "you" or "your" shall refer to such entity and its affiliates. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with these Terms of Use (and any other terms, policies, or guidelines that we provide to you), you must not accept this policy document and may not use the Site and related services.
When you use Expertite, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Updates to Our Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, and if we make material changes to it, we will provide notice through our Site so that you may review the changes before you continue to use our Site and related services. If you object to any changes, you may close your account. By choosing to continue with our Site and services after we publish or communicate a notice about any changes to this Privacy Policy, you are consenting to the changes.
Inclusion & Exclusion
This policy applies to information collected or used on the Expertite Site and mobile applications, owned or controlled by Autumn Leaf Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd. or its affiliated companies. Affiliated companies are entities that control, are controlled by or are under common control with Autumn Leaf Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own, control, or manage, including but not limited to any third party websites, services, applications, or businesses ("Third Party Services") that you access through Expertite. While we try to work only with those Third Party Services that share our respect for your privacy, Expertite is not responsible for their privacy policies or practices. You may wish to review the privacy policies of all Third Party Services you access so that you can understand how they collect, use, and share your information.
Also, this Privacy Policy doesn't govern what our registered users (Members and Organizations) do on their Expertite Buzz comments & postings and we aren't responsible for their information collection and use practices.
- Information We Collect:
Visitor Experience with Expertite
You can generally visit the Site without revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. Our mobile application as and when available may request for your industry, function and location information to give you a somewhat customized experience.
However while using the site as a Visitor, if you provide any company review, interview review or institution review, post, comment on a post, like or dislike a post or information of any nature, apply for a job / opportunity, follow a company or institution or in general interact in such a way that requires Expertite to authenticate your identity, you will be asked to register with us by submitting essential professional and personal information including but not limited to your name, designation, e-mail address, organization name where and if currently employed, experience, functional area, gender, managerial status, location, annual salary and education background.
Professional and Personal Information we collect
Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person. You may choose to provide personal information to us when you use Expertite. Because we may change our Site and services from time to time, the options you have to provide us with personal information also may change, but here are some examples of situations in which you may decide to provide personal information to us:
- Creating an Expertite account;
- As a registered individual, we will seek your personal and professional details
- As an organization, we will seek your and your organizations' details
- Completing company review, interview review or institution review;
- Completing a survey;
- Completing a form to subscribe to receive information, such as to download Expertite publications;
- Creating your profile online or uploading your resume;
- Contributing to Buzz by either posting an article, commenting on a post, liking / disliking a post etc.
- Contacting us for any reason, such as by email, including for technical support or customer service.
Depending on how you interact and in what capacity you interact with Expertite, the personal information we collect from you may vary. For example, to create an account, we ask only for an email address, first name, last name and password. In other circumstances, such as when you complete a form, we may ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, and, in some cases, postal address. Because we request this information directly, it will be clear what types of personal information we are collecting.
If you connect to Expertite using Facebook, Twitter or Google+ (each a "Social Networking Site"), we will receive information that you authorize the Social Networking Site to share with us, including your information about your friends and connections on that Social Networking Site. Any information that we collect from your Social Networking Site account may depend on the privacy settings you have set with the Social Networking Site, so please consult the Social Networking Site's privacy and data practices.
After you create a Member account with us, you may choose to provide additional information on your Expertite profile, such as descriptions of your skills, professional experience, and educational background. You can list as applicable awards, affiliations, and other information including content. Subject to the settings you choose, your identity can be completely private or visible to other Members and Organizations excluding your current company / organization. You could also seek recommendations and endorsements for yourself. Providing additional information enables you to derive more benefit from our services by helping you express your professional identity and find suitable opportunities. It also enables us to serve you ads and other relevant content on and off of our services.
Additionally, we also maintain information about the job opportunities you applied to or invitations you accepted from Organizations and their assessment of your skills / competencies when you interview with them.
Non Personal Information We Collect
We also collect non-personal information - data in a form that does not permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, sell, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. Aggregated data is considered non-personal information for the purposes of this Privacy and Cookie Policy. If we combine non-personal information with your personal information, the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined.
Aggregate data is primarily associated with your general usage of the Site and services. When you perform certain actions using the Site, Expertite may track your usage patterns to see what features of the Site and services you commonly use, Site traffic volume, frequency of visits, type and time of transactions, type of browser, browser language, IP address and operating system, and statistical information about types of jobs offered and qualifications of jobseekers submitting their profiles. Expertite will collect, track and analyze such information in an aggregate manner that does not personally identify you. This aggregate data may be used by Expertite and our service providers to assist Expertite in operating the Site and the services and get a better understanding of the operation of our business, but such information will be in aggregate form only and it will not contain personally identifiable data.
Information We Collect by Automated Means
We automatically collect information about how you browsed or used our Site and mobile applications, as well as information about your computer or mobile device including your IP address, device ID, physical location, browser and operating system, and referring URLs. This information is necessary for providing personalized and location-based content as well as for analyzing web traffic, troubleshooting problems, preventing fraud, and improving our services. We may combine this information with information in your account to help prevent fraud.
Automated means of data collection include the following:
Web Browser: When you visit the Expertite website, your browser automatically sends us your Internet protocol ("IP") address so that the web pages you request can be sent to your computer or device. We use your IP address to determine additional information, such as whether the computer or device has ever been used to visit Expertite before, which Expertite features were used the most often, and how much time was spent on a page.
Web Beacons and Log Files: We may use "web beacons" (also known as Internet tags, pixel tags, tracking pixels, and clear GIFs) on pages of our websites. These web beacons allow collecting information such as the IP address of the device, the URL of the web page, the time the page was viewed, the type of browser used, and any additional information in cookies that may have been set by the third party. The information is typically collected in log files, which generally track traffic on our websites. Purposes for this information collection may include managing our online advertising, including by determining which ads brought users to our websites. The information also is used for analytical purposes and to manage technical issues that may arise. We do not attempt to identify individual users through this information.
Location Data: If you access Expertite using a mobile device, we will collect your physical location if you have enabled this feature and given your consent. In some cases, even if you are not using a mobile device, information about your general location may be discernable from your device's IP address or the URLs we receive.
Cookies: We also collect information using cookies to help us identify you when you visit Expertite and we may share cookies with third-party advertisers or advertising networks to serve you relevant, targeted ads.

User Generated Invitations and Communications to Non-Registered Users.
Members and Visitors to the career pages of Organizations may share articles; job postings etc. with their network associates, and / or seek recommendations / endorsements from their network associates who are not registered users of the Site or the services. This serves as an invitation to others to learn more about the shared item. If the invited party responds to the invitation, then the same will be treated like another Expertite Visitor or user, as the case may be, with applicable Expertite terms, policies and guidelines.
By choosing to share or seek as mentioned above, you are voluntarily disclosing your personally identifiable data to the invited party.

We may use the information we receive about you:
- to provide you with personalized content;
- to create a curated version of your profile;
- to generate content for the Site in the form of company reviews, interview reviews, institution reviews, and other content to provide users with the services;
- to show you recommended jobs and future prospects;
- to display your network associates to prospective employers and provide you a means to reach out to them (if you sync'd your contacts with Expertite);
- to enable aspirants for a job opportunity to interact with you if the job opportunity is from the same employer as where you have recently joined as a result of your activity on Expertite (subject to your willingness to respond or interact with such aspirants);
- to enable featuring your name in a page on the Site as a testimonial;
- to better tailor the features, performance and support of the site;
- for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, and service improvement;
- to provide relevant advertising, including interest-based advertising from us and third parties, which may mean that we share non-personally identifiable information, such as job title, to third-party advertisers;
- to complete transactions;
- to respond to requests you make;
- to show you relevant information, if you connect to Expertite through a Social Networking Site, from your Social Networking Site friends and connections, and to allow you to share job and other information with them; and
- to contact you regarding use of our services.
- How We Share, Retain and Maintain Information
We only disclose or share your information in the way that you authorize us to by selecting appropriate privacy settings and as per the guidelines in our Privacy policy and Terms of Use document. By using Expertite, you authorize us to share your information as described here.
We will share your full profile (includes any personally identifiable information, recommendations that you have chosen to share, aggregate view of your endorsements, projects / portfolio / case studies / posts uploaded by you, preferences as listed in the profile summary page and your contacts in the applied company), aggregate analytics / information about your domain understanding and personality as submitted on Expertite by employers of your previous job applications and gleaned publically available information about you in social and networking sites based on your activity, only with specific potential employers whose requirements match your profile which you can see under the "Recommended Jobs" or "Future Prospects" pages. Other employers will not have access to your full profile.
All your posts, comments on posts, company reviews, interview reviews and institution reviews shall be governed by your selection of privacy setting.
As a policy and in the interest of our registered users, we will always have your profile and related information non-disclosed to your current employer as mentioned in your profile. We do not however guarantee non-disclosure of your identity as an Expertite user, if your network associates also register themselves on Expertite and you have chosen Privacy Settings that disclose your identity either through your posts on Buzz, comments on Posts or Reviews.
We may share personal information we collect with our trusted business partners. We also will share personal information with service providers that perform services on our behalf. These partners and service providers are not authorized by us to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements.
We may send you notifications, promotional communications, or other messages using the contact information (i.e. your e-mail address) you provided to us when you registered or, if you are an employer, when you requested information from us. You may opt-out of continuing to receive most messages by following the instructions included in each message. Also, you can control most of the e-mails you receive from us by editing your e-mail preferences within your account settings on the Site.
Choice and Access to Data Controlled by Organizations:
Expertite has no direct control over an employer's choice of individuals for a job opportunity and also the use of available information about an individual. As a Member, you can interact with prospective employers for a job opportunity and share information with them.
In accordance with applicable law, Expertite retains an archived copy of the individual's data for the period prescribed by such law. Additionally, if you would no longer like to be contacted by a particular employer or employers, you could block the employer / s in your preference settings.
Information Disclosure for Legal and Other Exceptional Reasons
We may access, preserve, and share information we have collected from and about you if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary (1) to comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants or legal process served on us; (2) to enforce our Expertite Terms of Use and Privacy Policy; (3) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (4) as we otherwise deem necessary to protect and defend the rights or property of us, the users of our services, or third parties. Our general procedure with respect to civil subpoenas requesting user data is to require a court order, binding on Expertite, before we release such information.
If the ownership of Expertite changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner so they can continue to operate the service. The new owner will still have to honor the commitments made in this Privacy and Cookie Policy.
As described under section A: "Information We Collect" and section B: "How We Use Information", we may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. The section entitled "Cookie Policy and Ad Choices" explains how you can manage the collection, use and sharing of certain non-personally identifiable information we collect via cookies.
Data Retention
Expertite retains personal information and the personal data we process on behalf of our Members and Organizations for as long as needed to provide the services to them. We will retain and use this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements with customers, and / or the period required by laws in applicable jurisdictions.
Updating and Correcting Your Information
Expertite provides Members and Organizations with the ability to review, update and correct the information provided and maintained by them on the Site. The amended information will become effective for all future interactions on the Site. Members and Organizations cannot however amend certain information captured during registration such as their email addresses. If any changes are required for such fields, then you are advised to contact us at care@expertite.com.
Deleting Your Account
If you'd like to delete your Member account, simply follow the process for deleting account in your account settings.
If you'd like to delete your Organization account, simply contact care@expertite.com and let us know that you would like to permanently delete your account.
Upon account deletion, you will no longer be able to have full access to the Site in the capacity of a registered user and all your added content will be pulled from the Site. Your account information will be deleted from our active database but will be maintained in our archives. We may retain information pertaining to your account which has been added by other Members, Visitors, other Organizations or other parties but not by You. We will also retain and use your account information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements with other parties, and / or the period required by laws in applicable jurisdictions.
Transfer of Information
Expertite uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to store and process information. Your personally identifiable information collected on this Site and through the services is stored and processed in different countries across the world where AWS currently maintains its servers and computer systems. Data protection and privacy regulations may vary from country to country. If you create a user account with the Site as a visitor from any country, by using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy and you consent to the transfer of all such information to servers located globally and to the processing of that information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored on your desktop computer, laptop, tablet, mobile phone, or other device when you first visit a page. When do we use Cookies?
We may set Cookies when you visit Expertite. They may also be set by other websites or services that run content on the page you're visiting. After you register on Expertite, we may connect information stored in Cookies with other information received from you.
What types of Cookies do we use?
We use two types of Cookies on Expertite: "session cookies" and "persistent cookies". Session Cookies are temporary Cookies that remain on your device until you leave Expertite. A persistent Cookie remains on your device for much longer until you manually delete it. How long the Cookie remains will depend on the duration or "lifetime" of the specific Cookie and your browser settings.
What are Cookies used for?
Cookies may transmit information about you and your use of Expertite, such as your browser type, search preferences, job titles, data relating to advertisements that have been displayed to you or that you have clicked on, and the date and time of your use. The data stored in Cookies is anonymous and is not linked to your personally identifiable information without your permission. Cookies may link to certain unique, non-personally identifiable information such as the job titles that you entered at the time of registration or on your profile, but this is not linked to your name or any personally identifiable information.
We use Cookies for things like:
- Authentication: to help us authenticate you to deliver personalized content.
- Security: to protect you, us and others, and help us detect fraud and other violations of our Terms of Use.
- Performance: to make Expertite easier and faster to use.
- Features: to enable features and store information about you (including on your device or in your browser cache) and your use of Expertite.
- Advertising: to deliver, evaluate, and improve advertising, such as by using non-personally identifiable information about you to provide you with relevant, targeted advertising (but using unique identifiers, that do not identify you personally).
- Analytics and Research: to monitor and evaluate the use of Expertite.
Ad Choices and Managing Cookies
Expertite works with several third parties to provide you with personalized, interest-based advertising. We may target ads to you on and off Expertite using:
- Cookies (both on and off Expertite);
- Location information, to the extent you have enabled location tracking on your mobile device;
- Member-provided profile information;
- Your use of Expertite (for example, your Expertite search history); and
- Information from advertising partners which we use to help deliver relevant ads to you.
We do not share personally identifiable information with any third-party advertiser or ad network, although we do share certain information that does not identify you personally, but which is unique to your use of Expertite. We also work with third parties to provide analytics services that may use the Cookies set on your device to measure the performance of advertising and track traffic to Expertite generally.
You may also be able to disable placement of some (but not all) Cookies by setting your browser to decline cookies, though this may worsen your user experience. If you delete your browser cookies, your opt-out cookie will also be deleted. Additionally, if you change computers or web browsers, you will need to opt out again. If you enable location data for the mobile version of Expertite as and when available (including any version installed as a native application), you are expressly agreeing that we may use your location data (after de-identifying it) to serve you geo-targeted ads and offers for businesses or employers that are local to you. In such instances, we do not share your location with the advertiser or advertising network; rather, we provide the advertiser or advertising network with a means to push ads through to users located in certain areas or zip codes. You may disable location services at any time in your "settings".
If ads or other features on Expertite are provided by third parties, those parties also may set and use their own Cookies that are subject to those third parties' privacy notices and policies. Expertite does not have access to, or control over, these Cookies.
- Security Safeguards
We employ physical, electronic, and managerial measures to safeguard the information we collect online. However, no company can fully eliminate security risks, so we cannot make guarantees about any part of our services. When you submit credit card numbers, the information is encrypted and passed directly to our third-party payment processer, and is never stored on our servers. You are responsible for keeping your username and password secret. Once you have registered with us, we will never ask you for your password.
We do not collect sensitive information, such as credit card information or social security numbers. If you enter credit card information in connection with a purchase on Expertite for Paid services, that information is sent directly from your browser to the third-party service provider we use to manage credit card processing and is never stored on our servers. The service provider is not permitted to store, retain, or use the information you provide except for the sole purpose of credit card processing on our behalf.
You should never include sensitive information such as passport numbers, credit or debit card numbers, driver's license numbers, or social security numbers in your profile. We cannot be responsible for any information contained in a profile.
We actively monitor Expertite for job postings that violate our Terms of Use. If we suspect fraudulent activity, we immediately remove the job posting from Expertite. However, fraudulent job postings can sometimes appear and we urge to you exercise caution in your job application. Please consider the following tips when conducting your job application:
- Do not send money to a prospective employer.
- Do not give out personal or financial account information to a new employer.
- Do not cash checks or transfer funds for your employer.
- Beware of job postings that ask you to send your profile to a free email address.
- Do not include sensitive information (as mentioned before) in your profile.
- Beware of jobs with spelling errors and bad grammar.
- If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
- Do your homework. Be sure to research any job posting that interests you.
If you see a suspicious job posting, please notify us. If you think you have been the victim of fraud, immediately report the fraud to your local police and contact Expertite.
Expertite is not responsible for the unauthorized use by third parties of information you post or otherwise make available publicly.

The Site may provide links to third party websites or resources not associated with Expertite and over which Expertite does not have control ("External websites"). Such links do not constitute an endorsement by Expertite of the External websites, the content displayed therein, or the persons or entities associated therewith. You acknowledge that Expertite is only providing these links as a convenience, and you agree that Expertite is not responsible for the content of such External websites. Your use of External websites is subject to the respective terms of use and privacy policies located on the linked to External websites. Expertite does not store any information (user name, password) used to access these External websites.
Buzz
Expertite offers publicly accessible posts or discussion forums. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. In most cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information; so exercise caution while posting and choose an appropriate Privacy Setting.
Testimonials
We display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. With your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name and other details. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at care@expertite.com.
Single Sign-On
You can log in to our site using sign-in services such as Facebook, Twitter or Google+. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form. Services such as these give you the option to share information about your activities on this Site with others within your network.
Children
This Site is not intended for children. Expertite targets this Site and its services to adults who are at least eighteen (18) years of age.
